Engagement of whole human beings full of feelings is always the work. A focus on how the process of learning feels is what allows children to access, from deep inside themselves, who they are and can be as learners. When leveraged, such feelings can become the most important materials in a classroom; they are the “stuff” needed to engage children in learning how to learn.
