The word “drift” is often used in a way that suggests it is passive, in a way that suggests such “passivity” is doing nothing, in a way that suggests this “nothing” is lacking focus or direction, in a way that suggests this “lacking” is a problem, in a way that suggests that “problems” are real and we can control them.
